As waterfront properties become increasingly developed, undeveloped natural harbors become increasingly scarce. Thus the need for wave (and wake) attenuation.

Wave attenuation can pay for itself very quickly by creating protected water to make existing boat slips more desirable, and by allowing more income-producing boat slips to be added.
